Enjoy a brief summary of my career

I consider myself an unconventional performance coach

Born in Sassari (Sardinia) on June 29, 1983.

Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science and Techniques and master’s degree in Sports Football (Soccer) Science at Rome University of Sport and Movement IUSM – Foro Italico.

In 2011 got the certificate of the professional athletic trainer of the Italian Football (Soccer) Federation Technical Sector of Coverciano-Florence F.I.G.C.
Since 2006 collaborated with Prof. Valter Di Salvo Ph. and Prof. Pasquale Bellotti, Professors at the University of Rome “Foro Italico”.

I matured important educational and professional experience on physical training of sports performance both in Italy and abroad: Portugal with the erasmus project, USA as Football (soccer) coach of New York e Humbolt County (north of San Francisco – Ca) sports academies.

In 2008 I experienced the most important professional opportunity in Spain with the first team of Real Madrid CF working closely with Valter Di Salvo Ph.D., Director of Real Madrid TEC from 2007 to 2011.
This massive training facility is considered the highest performance center, developed and implemented by Di Salvo, and considered by many to be the best football performance center in the world.
My role was injury prevention and recovery strategies, expert.
Club Futbol Real Madrid on that season 2007-2008 won the famous Spanish title “Liga“.

After the spanish experience I moved to Sydney, Australia, to learn and live the australian sport’s culture. I have been observing rugby league and AFL training sessions and had the opportunity to share some knowledge with some great Aussie colleagues.

Returned to Italy in 2009-10 I won my second title with the first team woman’s handball team ASD HC Sassari.

 

From 2010 to 2011 I have made an internship with the second team of Sampdoria Calcio as a performance analyst and injury prevention specialist.

In 2011 I joined Walter Zenga, a famous Italian goalkeeper, and his team at Al Nasr Dubai FC, UAE football (soccer) league as a strength and conditioning coach assistant and rehab trainer.

On June 2012 I have signed my first professional contract in a Serie A Club joining Cagliari Calcio as first team assistant performance coach and rehab trainer.

From November 2013 to May 2015 I worked for the First Team of Melbourne City FC, Club affiliated with the City Football Group – Australian Football League as their head of sports science.

From 2016 to 2017 have worked as Personal Trainer at Performance CentreForte Village Resort (Italy).

From 2017 to 2020 I owned as a sole proprietorship at Gymotica Studio(Italy), Accredited Desmotec Studio specialized in individual evaluation, postural and high-performance training with a multidisciplinary integrated holistic approach.

I am a contract professor in physical exercises applied to a musculoskeletal pathologies degree course in Adapted and Preventive motor Activity at the University of Cagliari, Faculty of Medicine.

I am president of the ASD Sport Re-education Club to provide the tools and support to develop the professional’s career in the sports and wellness sector. To achieve our goal we have created a team of professionals and experienced trainers with decades of experience and multidisciplinary skills developed in an international context.
